DIRECTIONS TO PALM JUMEIRAH
CBD Run on the Palm is taking place on Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. Enter Palm Jumeirah and proceed until you see the sign posts for the Nakheel Malll. Enter the Nakheel Mall car park and follow signs for RaceME official directions to the race village. The race start is located outside in front of the VIP entrance of Nakheel Mall.
Please familiarise yourself with latest COVID19 guidelines and wear a mask at all times.
RACE PACK COLLECTION
You will collect your race pack A FEW DAYS PRIOR to the CBD Run on The Palm 2021 from the Nakheel Mall.
RACE NUMBER & TIMING CHIP
A bib with your race number and timing chip on the reverse must be clearly visible on your front for the duration of the race. Please use an elastic race belt or safety pins for your race number. Each run will start with a different colour race number. Please make sure the colour of the race bib in your race pack matches the colour shown on the information board. It is compulsory to wear these numbers.
No Bag drop area at race venue!
You have to wear your face mask!
Line up 15 mins prior to your allocated start Time!
Late entries wont be allowed to start!
Please strictly follow the instructions of RaceME and COVID19 Marshalls.
Timing antennas will be positioned at the turn around points and at the finish line. RaceME will endeavour to provide you with all your timing splits, but this is not guaranteed. Very occasionally, a timing chip may not be read or a timing antenna may fail and timing splits may not be available.
You must pass all timing points with a valid chip read. No chip read could result in your disqualification or request for a supporting GPS route from a certified watch brand. You’ll receive a total finish time providing we can see your race number when you cross the finish line. If you withdraw during the event please make sure you return your timing chip, otherwise we will think you are still out there racing!
Please note that start time is a chip start rather than a gun / wave start, i.e. your time starts when crossing the start line antennas.
A set of results will be available on our website www.raceme.ae/latestresults as soon as possible after the event. Any queries relating to the race timings should be emailed to email@example.com by Tuesday 16th March, 2021, after which time all results will be deemed as final and complete.
It is essential that you are aware of the weather conditions during the race. It is expected to be hot with very little, if any, shade. There will be ambulances on standby throughout the duration of the race but you must take care to race sensibly in such conditions. If you start to get headaches, feel dizzy and nauseous then you may be suffering from heat exhaustion and need to seek medical advice. Listen to your body. Talk to the nearest volunteer who will be able to help you get attention.
The common symptoms of heat exhaustion include: confusion, muscle cramps, heavy sweating, headaches, nausea/vomiting and dizziness. If you become aware of these symptoms then seek medical help immediately.
Please stay hydrated and drink plenty of fluids in the days leading up to the race and remember to continue to take on fluids on the morning before the swim start.
During the bike and run try to drink about 500ml of fluids per hour. There will be water available from aid stations but please make sure you have sufficient fluids of your own on your bike.

The tree-shaped Palm Jumeirah island is known for glitzy hotels, posh apartment towers and upmarket global restaurants. Food trucks offering snacks like shawarma dot the Palm Jumeirah Boardwalk, popular for its views of the Dubai coastline and the sail-shaped Burj Al Arab hotel. Beach clubs with spas and infinity pools turn into boisterous nightclubs with live DJs in the evening.
Dubai is globally recognised for its world firsts, and The Palm Jumeirah is an impressive example. Viewed from above, the manmade island resembles a stylised palm tree, which was built from reclaimed land mass and a series of artificial archipelagos.
Palm Jumeirah is home to some of Dubai’s most luxurious resorts, including Atlantis The Palm, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, One&Only The Palm and many more. It is also packed with fantastic dining options worth visiting, such as Nobu and 101 Dining Lounge – even if you’re not staying at one of the many resorts.
